1 Cup Peanut Butter
1 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla
¾ Cup Chocolate Chip (optional)
Add all ingredients, stir until mixed. If they seem a little sticky, you can add a ¼ cup of flour, but only if you are worried about cookies with no flour! Form into round balls, place on a baking sheet. Take a fork and make a number sign (crisscross) on each cookie. Bake for 9 minutes (don’t overcook).
These cookies are fantastic when you need a quick treat but don’t have any flour in the house! They are quick and they are easy. They can be made in a rush and they will keep for days -that is if they don’t get eaten in hours. You can have them with or without chocolate chips. Though chocolate chips are always a great addition to any recipe.
If you are selling your house they make the house seem like a warm and comfortable home that is filled with love and compassion. The kids can sometimes take them to school, though sadly most schools ban peanuts these days. But if you are having kids to your house, you can serve them there! You can take them to work to share unless you work at a place like Booyah where the halls are consistently filled with goodies sent to our Display Team. Then your homemade peanut butter cookies may not look as fancy as all of that stuff but they will get eaten up before the hand wrapped overly decorated cookies.
As you can see these simple cookies are a great source of joy and glee. They bring smiles and happiness to everyone who is near. They make you sing with joy and exclaim out loud: BOOYAH!
